The worst hour to be on the road? Friday, 4-5 pm. The median number of crashes that hour: 49.5. That’s only a smidge better than the hour that comes before, 3-4 pm on Friday, with 49.3. We counted all the accidents reported last year and looked for the hour of the week with the greatest number collisions. Generally, the week starts out better than it ends. The first five spots belong to a Friday, Thursday or Wednesday. Tuesday from 5-6 pm clocks in at 6th place.
